Ramona Ann Owens, 73, of McMinnville passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025 at Ascension Saint Thomas River Park Hospital. She was born on Nov. 29, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Ok., was a homemaker and a member of Freedom Life Church. She was considered a songbird by many who had the privilege of hearing her sing. She was once a part of the musical groups -  Bud  Godwin and the Good News, Sounds of Praise, and the Barber Sharps; obviously, she greatly enjoyed singing, especially gospel music.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, James Dewey Rigsby and Barbara Ann Russell Rigsby; and by her brother, Jerry Rigsby. She is survived by her children, Tyann Marsh, Samuel Tyrone (Cynthia) Nunley, John R. Brandon Marsh and Brian Lake Owens (Samantha Brown); nephew, Jeremy Rigsby; grandchildren, Loren Kier J. Gallebo, Destiny Lannette Noe, Teron Jacob Nunley, Samuel Tyrone Nunley, Jamie Struck, Nathaniel Tippins, Erin Taylor McKnight and Minerva Owens.

Funeral service for Ramona Owens is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Anthony Campbell will officiate. Interment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. at McMinnville Funeral Home.
