Pinkney Andrew “Pink” Whaley, 69, of McMinnville died Sunday, March 11 at his residence.He was born Nov. 14, 1942, in Sevierville and was a former employee of Coca-Cola Bottling Company, a self-employed general contractor, and served his country with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Mr. Whaley was preceded in death by parents, Manley and Ida Packett Whaley; wife, Linda Chaffin Whaley; sisters, Ruthie Rolen, Maccle Williamson, and Ella Reagan; and brothers, Ira, Rabbit, and Mead Whaley.Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Krista Whaley of St. Peters, Mo.; daughter, Amy Whaley of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Loretta King of Gatlinburg; and brother, Inloe Whaley of Sevierville; several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.Funeral service is 2 p.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt.
