Peggy Ward passed away March 2, 2025 at home with her family.  

She was born Oct. 24, 1939 to Leon and Mary Frances Rowland Hale in Tennessee.

Peggy lived in Manhattan Beach, Calif. for over 55 years. She was a devoted wife to Joe Ward for 65 years and a dedicated mother to Jamie Kuhn of Acton, Calif. and Kim Taylor (Steve) of Manhattan Beach, Calif.

Peggy was a beloved grandmother to Robert Kuhn of Torrance, Mary Frances (Sean) Incontro of Lomita and Jessica Taylor of Manhattan Beach. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings and her youngest grandson Dylan Kuhn of Acton, Calif.

Peggy was a classy lady with a kind heart, and a welcoming smile for everyone. Peggy had many friends and enjoyed her time with them, including the ladies of the El Segundo United Methodist Church and more recently those at Journey of Faith Church in Manhattan Beach. She also enjoyed watching the Lakers and Dodgers and baking her famous brownies.  

Being with her husband Joe and the rest of the family made her the happiest. 

Peggy will be missed by many. 

Services will be held March 16 at 10 a.m. at Green Hills Mortuary - Chapel, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho PV, Calif.
