Paulette Cantrell Drewitz Halsted, 88

Paulette Cantrell Drewitz Halsted, 88, an East Ridge resident and McMinnville native, died April 30 at the Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center following an extended illness.
She was an artist, member of Madison Church of Christ, and daughter of the late Bernice “B.C.” and Loreta Newby Cantrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Donald Drewitz and William Halsted and brothers, Bud and Jack Cantrell.
Mrs. Halsted is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Michael Hughes of East Ridge; two grandsons, Clay and Don Culwell and three great-grandchildren, Will, Erin Lee and Gavin Culwell.
Graveside service and interment will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Mt. View Cemetery with John Cantrell to officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at High’s. Memorials may be made to Gideon Memorial Bibles.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
