McMinnville resident and Warren County native Paul Smith, 59, was born Feb. 19, 1955 and died Feb. 28 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville following an extended illness.Retired from Carrier Corporation and a member of Bethel Hill Baptist Church, he was the son of Jimmie Sue Williamson Smith Barnes of McMinnville and the late Kenneth Eugene Smith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Henry and LaVinnia Smith; and maternal grandparents, Jim and Gertrude Williamson.In addition to his mother, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Randall Harris of McMinnville; three sons, Eric Smith, Jeremy Smith and Jason Smith, all of Kentucky; three grandchildren, Cameron Morris, Madison Harris and Darius Harris, all of McMinnville; two brothers, Christopher M. Smith and Scott St. Clair, both of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Alan Gross of Morrison; halfsister, Tina (Herbert) Conley and halfbrothers, Josh (Traci) Adams and Jody (Crystal) Adams, all of McMinnville, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend, Pat Norrod of McMinnville.A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Hill Baptist Church with Charles Dodson and Carl Smith officiating.
