Oscar M. “Bud” Smartt 82, of New Port Richey, Fla., died Feb. 19.Bud was born May 26, 1934, in Morrison to the late, Etheridge Smartt and Hazel Beaty. Bud courageously served in the United States Air Force for 21 years and retired as a master sergeant. Bud is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children, Susan (Bob) Yaple, John (Kathy) Smartt, Cindy (Curt) Nunn, Jody (Rod) Rynkiewicz, and Sherrie (Robert) Dunn; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild due in May.
