Nelson Luis Hernandez, 51, of McMinnville died Sunday, Oct. 4. He was born Monday, Feb. 3, 1964 in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico and was the son of Tomasa Oquendal Hermandez and the late Abraham Hernandez.He is survived by his wife Tammy Hernandez of McMinnville; sons Damian Luis Hernandez of Morrison, Harley Jewel Hernadez of McMinnville; stepchildren, Rachel McClure Cantrell of McMinnville, Dustin McClure of McMinnville; mother Tomasa Oquendal Hernandez of Puerto Rico; sister Raquel Hernandez of Puerto Rico; mother-in-law Claudia Jordan of McMinnville; sister-in-law Susan Pittman of McMinnville; nieces Kayla Davis and Chasity Barrett; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Rafeal Hernandez and Herbel Hernandez.A memorial service will be Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
