Neeland Elwood Rogers, 87, beloved husband, father, and grandfather of Indianapolis, Ind., died April 18.
He was born July 18, 1923 in Centertown to the late Sherman and Alice (Williamson) Rogers. Neeland graduated from Shortridge High School. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving at the Battle of the Bulge under Gen. George Patton. He was a member of American Legion Post 34 and the Local Carpenters Union. He attended Epworth Methodist Church.
Neeland is survived by his wife of 57 years, Christine (Russell) Rogers; one daughter, Deborah (Tony) Johnson; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Jimmy) Collier, Michael (Heather) Powell, Brent Johnson, and Stephen Johnson; and three great-grandchildren, Aspen, Chase, and Ava.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Mount View Cemetery in McMinnville.
