McMinnville resident and Coffee County native Naomi Ruth Allen, 80, was born April 4, 1933 and died March 29 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following a two-month illness.A cook at West Elementary and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Hall and Beulah Elizabeth Prater Lowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by granddaughter, Rachel Diane Allen, and two brothers, Kenneth Lowe and Lavoy Lowe.Mrs. Allen was married July 8, 1950 to Kenneth Allen of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children, Lynn Allen (Lynn Redmond) of Eagleville, Greg Allen (Amy Goff), Brian Allen, and Demetra (Jimmy) Alley, all of McMinnviille, and Kyle Allen of Willowick, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Veronica (Rick) Stepian, Maranda Allen (Jeff Fults), Amanda Morton, Jonathan (Rachael) Allen, Katrina Allen, Tori Allen and Leia (Tyler) Blair; five great-grandchildren, Lucas Stepp, Emmy and Natalie Stepian, Ty Morton and Leilynn Smith; two sisters, Betty (Edwin) Grissom of McMinnville, and Johnnie Hittson of Perry, Ga., and two brothers, Jimmy (Gayle) Lowe of Manchester and Anthony Lowe of Murfreesboro.A graveside service and interment were March 31 at Rockliff Cemetery with Robert Horton officiating.
