Myrtle Marie Vinson, 89, of Cookeville died Monday, Jan. 5, at her home in Cookeville.Mrs. Vinson was born Sunday, March 15, 1925 in Putnam County and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Donnie (Smith) Nation.She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Glenn Stockton of Cookeville; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Debbie Vinson of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Bryan Sliger of Dickson, Derek Vinson and wife Miranda of Rock Island, Erica Ralph and husband Mickey of Morrison; four great-grandchildren, Bryant and Britain Ralph, Raylee Vinson; expectant great-grandchild, Colton Vinson; sisters, Irene McBroom and Ressie Pharris, both of Cookeville.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Elton Vinson; infant twin brother Joseph Nation, and brother James Gusta Nation. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Carl Sims and Clarence DeLoach officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
