Mrs. Shirley Dean Morton, 83, of McMinnville died Sunday, May 27, at Raintree Manor Nursing Center.

She was born May 18, 1935, in McMinnville to the late Julius Osborne and Zona Lee Parsley Bowdoin. Shirley was a homemaker and member of Forest Park Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by great-granddaughter Kenley Raine Morton, and her brothers Billy, Harold, and Julius Bowdoin Jr.

She is survived by her husband Robert Morton of McMinnville, sons Jeff (Lesa) Morton of McMinnville and David Morton of Rock Island, daughters Wanda (Brenice) Wright of Smithville, Teresa (Jerry) Honeycutt of McMinnville and Connie Youngblood of McMinnville, sister Imogene Jacobs of McMinnville, sister-in-law Geraldine Bowdoin of Lebanon and brother Jimmy (Jeanie) Bowdoin of McMinnville, nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Ricky Bowdoin will officiate. Interment will follow at Shellsford Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
