Morris Leighton Ferguson, 83

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Morris Leighton Ferguson, 83, was born Jan. 15, 1928 and died Dec. 21 at his residence following an extended illness.
The owner of Lively-Ferguson Drug Store, a pharmacist at Warren General Hospital, a United States Navy veteran, and member of Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Zetta Mae Ferguson.
He was married Sept. 2, 1952 to Betty Phifer Ferguson of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Sherri Ferguson of Murfreesboro; and three granddaughters, Melody, Jessica and Abby Ferguson, all of Murfreesboro.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today in High’s Chapel with Eben Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow at Brick House Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service today at High’s. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association or American Heart Association both c/o High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
