Monroe Eugene Dixon, 75

Monroe Eugene Dixon, 75, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, died Aug. 26 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was the owner of Kingwood Foodland, a member of the Baptist Church and son of the late James William and Lillie Vera Hodges Dixon.
He was married to Randy Jane Taylor Dixon, who preceded him in death in August, 1995. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Elbert Dixon.
Mr. Dixon is survived by niece, Faye (Steve) Breedlove of Rock Island; great-nephew, Brent Breedlove and great-great-niece Brittany Breedlove, both of Rock Island; brother, Bobby Dixon of McMinnville and special friend, Barbara Grissom of Rock Island.
Funeral service was Thursday, Aug. 28, in High’s Chapel with Steve Breedlove officiating. Interment followed at Mt. View Cemetery.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
