Mildred Lee Spicer, 77, of Rock Island, (Midway community) died Friday, Jan. 6 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
She was born June 18, 1939, in Smith County and was a homemaker, dairy farmer, and a former member of Midway Home Demonstration Club. Mrs. Spicer was preceded in death by parents Bethel and Hazel Cowan Bush and sister-in-law Pat Spicer.
Survivors include husband of 54 years Vernon Spicer, son Kevin (Carrie) Spicer, granddaughters, Katie and LeAnne Spicer, brother Billy Bush, sister Bobbie (Toby) Roberts, sister-in-law Eulene (Leon) Robbins, and brothers-in-law Mayford (Gloria) Spicer, Clarence (Pauline) Spicer, J.C. (Cheryl) Spicer, Joe (Arlene) Spicer, Mike (Pat) Spicer and Jack Spicer. Other nieces, nephews, family members and friends also survive.
Funeral service was held Monday, Jan. 9, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Joey Spicer officiated. Interment followed at Old Bybee Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
