Michael Herbert Glenn, 80

Mr. Michael Herbert Glenn, 80, of McMinnville passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born in Tampa, Fla. on Aug. 8, 1944. Mr. Glenn spent a good bulk of his career in retail grocery as a meat department manager and over two decades as a local small business owner; and he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. Michael is a member of Freedom of Life Church, was involved with Habitat for Humanity, spent six years with Meals on Wheels, the Nashville Emmaus Community and United Methodist Volunteers in Mission work. He enjoyed working in the yard, doing woodwork, and he loved listening to music. 

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Alice Glenn; children, Scott (Stephanie) Glenn, Kevin (Crystal) Glenn and Mindy (Dwayne) Jaco; grandchildren, Andrew Glenn, Mitchell Glenn, Jared (Ayrica) Glenn, Kristiana Glenn, Alexis Glenn, Amelia Glenn, Brandon Glenn, Bryson Glenn, Tiffany (Travis) Hillis and Brittany (Jacob) Simpson; several great grandchildren, and cousins Stacey (Jeff) Dempsey and Kim (Joe) Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert M. Glenn and Dorothy Morgan Glenn Weakley; brothers, Ricky Glenn and Pepper Glenn; sister, Linda Glenn; and son, Michael John Glenn.

The funeral service for Michael Glenn is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Anthony Campbell will officiate. Interment will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation with the Glenn family will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at McMinnville Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels or to Habitat for Humanity in Michael’s memory.
