Melva Ruth Rogers, 73, a McMinnville resident and Coffee County native, was born Sept. 3, 1943 died Aug. 28 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital following an extended illness. She was a homemaker, member of Arlington Church of Christ, and daughter of the late Willie and Eathel St. John Crouch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Richard Crouch.Survivors include daughter, Melva ReKay Griser of Florida; two sons, Randy Eugene Griser and Edward Keith Griser, both of Estill Springs; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three sisters, Martha Watson, Donna McCormick and Ann McCormick, all of McMinnville.Graveside service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31 at Cooper Cemetery with Wayne Cantrell to officiate.
