Melinda Marie Meeks, 29, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 25, 2023 after battling a long illness. Enduring countless extensive surgeries meant to bring some relief seemed only to bring more pain but despite how much pain she was in, she always managed to have a smile on her face. Whether or not it was forced or just came naturally, her smile was enough to light up the darkest room. Her warm smile will forever be missed by her friends and family who loved her so much. 

Her family includes Chris, Allie, Ayden, Tony and  Brentley, Curley Meeks, Sr, Beverly Meeks, Brandy and David Snowden, Lisa Brannan, Stacey Meeks, Jackie Lay, Curley Meeks, Jr. and a host of countless others far too many to mention.  

Melinda was laid to rest in Plainview Cemetery in Tracy City on July 28 at 2 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate her life is being planned for a future date to include her friends and family.

Arrangements are by Cumberland Funeral Home, 207 Mabee Avenue, Monteagle, Tenn.
