Mrs. Melba Janet Maynard Jones, a resident of McMinnville (Pike Hill community) died Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.

She was a native of Warren County, was a homemaker, and was a member of Arlington Church of Christ. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by parents Huston and Dollie Patterson Maynard, husband of 55 years James E. Jones, sisters Jean Clendenon and June Roberts, brother Ronald Maynard and brothers-in-law Joe Clendenon and Albert Martin.

Survivors include sister Donna Martin, brother and sister-in-law Joe and Becky Maynard, sister and brother-in-law Gail and Tommy Crouch, sister-in-law Janice Maynard, brother-in-law Jerry Roberts, Aunt Mary Jean Cantrell, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Jon Simmons and Daron Hall will officiate. Interment will follow at Faulkner Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 8 p.m., and again Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
