McMinnville resident and Rossville, Ga., native, Maxine Gordy Winton died Aug. 12 after a brief illness.She was the daughter of the late James E. and Hassie L. (Mathis) Gordy. She was married to the late Alfred Winton. She is survived by her children, Sherry (Jerry) Hale, Sandra Winton Davidson, David (Judy) Winton, and grandchildren, Elizabeth Boren, Lauren and Richard Davidson, Seth and Cole Winton.
