Maxine Fisher Grissom, 80, of McMinnville (Highland community) died Thursday, June 27 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.She was born March 24, 1933 in White County and was a homemaker and along with her husband was owner of Grissom’s Processing. Mrs. Grissom was preceded in death by her parents Charlie Denton and Handie Walker Fisher, her husband William Nelson Grissom, three brothers and two sisters.Survivors include her daughters, Renee and Mike Johnson of McMinnville, Carrie and David Huckeby of Rock Island, Kathy and C.L. Witt of McMinnville, and Shelly and David Miller of McMinnville; son Chuck and Deb Grissom of McMinnville; sister, Christene Gribble of McMinnville; grandchildren Heather Comer, Kelci Ramsey, Nelson Huckeby, Tessa Curtis, Olivia Witt, Richard Grissom, and Miranda Grissom; and great-grandchildren Ella Mae Curtis, Rachel Grissom, and Sarah Kate Grissom; and many nieces, nephews and friends.Graveside service is 2 p.m. Sunday at Webb Cemetery at Bluff Springs. Richard Bowman will officiate.
