Maxie Lee Farris, 67

McMinnville resident and Sparta native Maxie Lee Farris, 67, died March 30 at his home after an extended illness.
A lineman for TVA and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Roseatt Farris and was also preceded in death by his wife, Latissua Kay Farris; and brother, Jimmy Farris.
He is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Kirstian Farris of Crawfordville, Fla., Tammy and Paul Yazdi of St. Louis, Mo.; stepdaughter, Lisa Carmona of Bermuda Dunes, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Kristy Farris of Nashville, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, J.P. and Linda Farris of Poulan, Ga.; and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at High’s Chapel with Charles Overton officiating. There will be no public visitation.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
