McMinnville resident and Warren County native Matthew Steven Davenport, 51, was born Nov. 8, 1971 and died suddenly on March 5, 2023 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville.
A yard foreman with Turner Auto Salvage and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of Rebekah Patton Arnold of McMinnville. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Flavil and Ola Mae Patton and uncle, Charles Patton.
He was married to Angela Hudson Davenport of McMinnville. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Davenport is survived by two children, Daphne Davenport (Cory Ward) of McMinnville and Amber (Nicolas) Cline of Rock Island; six grandchildren, Wenzdai, Chevy, Legend, Axel, Colton and Bailey; brothers, Daniel Davenport (Nicole Madden) and Frank (Lori) Woodlee, both of McMinnville; uncle, Douglas (Linda) Patton of Harriman, Tenn.; aunt, Joann Patton of Fla.; several nieces, nephews and cousins and his work family, Charles Newport and all the employees at Turner Auto Salvage.
Mr. Davenport was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at High’s.
