Mary Teresa West, 81

McMinnville resident and Detroit, Mich., native Mary Teresa West, 81, was born Feb. 17, 1940 and died July 11 at Woodbury Nursing Center in Woodbury following an extended illness.              

A retired truck driver from Old Dominion and a member of the Catholic church, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Regina LaBlanc. She was married to Gene Autry West of McMinnville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son Mark Douglas Grubbs and brother Raymond Joseph LaBlanc.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. West is survived by five sons, Leonard Kenneth Grubbs of McMinnville, Kurtis Michael Grubbs of Morrison, Gary Kevin Grubbs of Chapel Hill, Richard Vance Grubbs of Smyrna, and Randy Kyle Grubbs of Tifton, Ga., several grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren also survive.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at Woods Cemetery in Warren County with Leonard Grubbs officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at High’s. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
