Mary Louise Bennett Blankenship, 76

Mary Louise Bennett Blankenship was born Dec. 8, 1939 and died Dec. 4 following a lingering illness. Mrs. Blankenship was preceded in death by her precious husband of 53 years, Jimmy Grant Blankenship on Aug. 1; grandson, Jimmy Weston Stoner; parents, Elmer and Velma McAfee Bennett; sister, Joyce Ann Bennett Argo, and brothers, J.W., Franklin and Leroy Bennett.
Mrs. Blankenship is survived by her children, Mary and Steve Payne, Jamye and Monty Jaco, Jimmy Grant Blankenship II, Katie Powers, Jon Paul Blankenship, all of McMinnville; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandson, and sister, Doris Bennett Smith of Fort Payne, Ala. Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Blankenship was very active in her church, Gath Baptist Church, and is survived by her church friends. She was a teacher assistant and bus driver with the Warren County Schools for many years and she loved cooking, cleaning her house, gardening and taking care of her family.
Funeral service was held Tuesday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rick Stewart officiated. Interment followed at Mt. View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
