Mary Jo Crouch Boyd, 84, of Smartt died Thursday, Dec. 22 at her residence. She was born Aug. 1, 1932, in Warren County and was retired as postmaster of Smartt Post Office, was a Methodist, member of McMinnville Garden Club, loved music and entertaining, and won several blue ribbons for her cooking. Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by parents Charles and Aline Stone Crouch, husband Joseph Tallman Boyd Jr., and brother-in-law Walter G. Hart.Survivors include her children Charles Tallman Boyd Jr. and wife Deborah of Manchester, William “Bill” Joseph Boyd and wife Neva of Smartt, Eleanor Bryan and husband Steve of Morrison, and Mary Kate Boyd of Smartt, grandchildren Natalia Boyd, Natalie Boyd, Tallman Boyd, Harrison Boyd, Stevie Elizabeth Bryan and fiancée Matt Dake, and Jimmy Joe Bryan and fiancee Shelby Medley, sister Charlene Hart of Denver, Colo., niece Dr. Carolyn Jean Hart of London, England, nephews Dr. Roger Hart, Houston, Texas, and Dr. David Hart of Denver, Colo., and great-niece Nikki Hart.Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26 at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
