Mary Frances Watkins Parsons Davis, 95, of McMinnville died Saturday, Jan. 2, at Raintree Manor in McMinnville.She was born May 18, 1920, in Dalton, Ga. She worked as an operator with General Telephone and was a member of Bybee Branch Church of Christ. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by parents, James William and Lilly Long Watkins Sr.; husband Tom Parsons; son Joseph Shelby Parsons Sr.; sister Annie Maude Simpson; and son-in-law William Gauger.Survivors include her daughter Patricia Gauger; sister, Ophelia Gayler; brothers, James Watkins Jr. and Fred Watkins; grandchildren, Steve (Stacy) Gauger of McMinnville, Alan (Debbie) Gauger of Murfreesboro, Thomas (Patti) Gauger of McMinnville, and Joseph Shelby Parsons Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz.; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Christopher, Nathan, Anthony, and Emily Gauger and Thomas Parsons, and two great-great-grandchildren. Several other family members and friends also survive.
