McMinnville  resident and Chattanooga native Mary Frances Boyd, 85, was born Aug. 26, 1937 and died March 11, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness.           

A retired employee from DeZurik and member of North Hills Church of God of Prophecy, she was the daughter of the late Olen and Willie B. Martin League. She was married to Charles Boyd of McMinnville on Aug. 26, 1961. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Chris Boyd and grandson, Jamaine Boyd.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Boyd is survived by children, Charles (Deanna) Boyd, Stanley Boyd and Laveda (Nick) Bryan, all of McMinnville; grandchildren, Kristyne Boyd, Jalen Boyd, Brandon (Katrina) Boyd, Keyona Bryan and Keynai Bryan; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Xavier, Kenzi and Anaya; sister, Alice Stanford of Sarasota, Fla. and brother, Michael (Munice) Harris of McMinnville.

Funeral service will be held at 2p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Michael Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at High’s. There will be no visitation on Thursday prior to the service.
