Mary Ellen Beumer, 84, a Morrison resident and Loretta, TN native was born April 17, 1932 and died April 7 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital following an extended illness.She was a homemaker and daughter of the late Herman and Vera Grooms York. Mrs. Beumer was married Nov. 3, 1951 to Frank Beumer, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Sybil Hillis and Frances Taylor; brothers, Alvin York, Dois Melton York; and son-in-law, Danny Grissom.Survivors include three sons, Herman Beumer, Henry Beumer and Bernard Beumer, all of Morrison; four daughters and son-in-law, Carol and Myron Jabs of Valley City, N.D., and Mary Grissom, Teresa Beumer and Ellen Beumer, all of Morrison; eight grandchildren; 12 great-granchildren; and sister, Nettie Hutchins of McMinnville.Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at High’s Chapel with Father David Cooney to officiate.
