Martha Lee Roberts McDowell, 79, of McMinnville died Friday, Aug. 12 at NHC Health Care in Sparta. She was born April 9, 1932 in Van Buren County, was a homemaker, and was preceded in death by parents John Milton and Becky Lou Farless Roberts, husband Thomas Arnold McDowell, son James McDowell, and daughter Mary Lou McDowell Craven.Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Billy Thomas and Carolyn McDowell of Sparta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Waymond and Ruth Roberts of Morrison, and E.J. and Hazel Roberts of Smithville; three grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.Funeral service is 2 p.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
