Mr. Mark Eugene Fann, age 70, long-time resident of McMinnville passed away on Sunday, June 01, 2025 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born on April 2, 1955 in McMinnville, was a member of Westside Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, and served in the National Guard for 30 years. He retired in 2011 after serving 30 years as a counselor at the Tennessee Department of Corrections. Mark was a member of the American Legion and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching baseball, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mark is survived by his wife of 44 years Jo Ann Fann, sons Jason Mark (LaDonna) Fann, Shawn (Kayla) Fann, and Adam Logan (Ashley) Fann, siblings Terry Fann, Vicki Jeffries, Kevin (Kerri) Fann, Patrick Fann, and Christopher Fann, brother-in-law Webb Jeffries, grandchildren Brittney Daniel, Jorden Dennis, Noah (Odaysha) Fann, Easton Fann, and Kate Fann, and great grandchildren Spencer Daniel, Londyn Dennis, Easton Dennis, Emma Fann, Reece Dennis, and Banx Fann. Mr. Fann was preceded in death by his father Billy “Red” Fann, mother Joyce Louise Fann Young, and step father Herman Young.

The funeral service for Mr. Mark Eugene Fann is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Nathan Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Military Grave Rites will be administered. The Fann family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. at McMinnville Funeral Home.
