Margie Olivia Mason, 77, of McMinnville died Tuesday, July 23 at River Park Hospital. She was born May 24, 1936, in Smithville and was a member of the Baptist faith, worked as a cosmetologist for many years and was a former employee of City Drug Store and McDonald’s. Mrs. Mason was preceded in death by her parents, Verby S. and Beatrice Ellen Fisher Jones; sons, Glen Thompson, Stanley Carl Honaker, and William Verby Thompson; her sisters, Georgia Farley, Patricia Owenby, and Verbolynn Maxson; and brothers, Carl A. Jones, Clayton A. Jones, Jerry Sterling Jones, and Joe Alfred Jones.Survivors include her husband Morris R. Mason of McMinnville; stepchildren Sheila Lewis, Phillip, Terry, and Michael Mason; grandchildren, Jimmy Thompson, Stacie Johnson, and Denver Honaker; her sisters, F. Oleda Crain of Delaware, Billie J. (Ralph) Shoemaker of Michigan; daughter-in-law Donna Thompson of North Carolina; and special friends Kim Carlee and Mickie Whiteaker.
