Spencer resident and Monterey native Maggie Mae Lawson, 93, died Sept. 14 at Life Care Center in Sparta.
A seamstress, she was the daughter of the late Brack and Linnie Henry Lee; and was preceded in death by her husband, James Carl Lawson and son, Robert Wade Lawson.
She is survived by daughter, Varolyn Vollenweider of Sugar Hill, Ga.; sons, Woody Lawson and wife Susie of Chattanooga, Wayne Lawson and wife Ruby of Spencer, and James Carl Lawson of Cagle; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, many friends and family members.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Spencer Funeral Home with Wally Seibeir officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in White County. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Spencer Funeral Home.
