Spencer resident and Monterey native Maggie Mae Lawson, 93, died Sept. 14 at Life Care Center in Sparta.A seamstress, she was the daughter of the late Brack and Linnie Henry Lee; and was preceded in death by her husband, James Carl Lawson and son, Robert Wade Lawson.She is survived by daughter, Varolyn Vollenweider of Sugar Hill, Ga.; sons, Woody Lawson and wife Susie of Chattanooga, Wayne Lawson and wife Ruby of Spencer, and James Carl Lawson of Cagle; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, many friends and family members.Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Spencer Funeral Home with Wally Seibeir officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in White County.
