Lucy Faye Nunley, 65, a McMinnville resident and Cleveland, Ohio native, was born Oct. 29, 1952 and died May 8 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a sudden illness.
She was a nursing secretary with NHC, member of Westside Baptist Church and daughter of the late Johnson and Bessie Hitchcock Dillon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Jackie Dillon and special niece, Tammy Hale McCormick.
Mrs. Nunley was married June 12, 1970 to Joe Douglas Nunley, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Terry Ray of McMinnville, Wendy Nunley and Billy “Bubba” Stacy of Smithville, and Jessica and Chris Scruggs of McMinnville; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Dillon of McMinnville; sisters and brother-in-law, Karen Dillon, Peggy and Ronnie Hale and Judy Myers, all of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Mary McKeehan of Rock Island; mother-in-law, Lillie Nunley of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends from NHC.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at High’s Chapel with Alan Smith to officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
