Lonnie Dale Fuson, 83, a McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native, was born May 9, 1933 and died Feb. 12 in Unity Medical Center following an extended illness.He was a veteran of the Tennessee Army National Guard, boat seat manufacturer with Stratos Boats, member of Antioch Church of Christ, attended Smartt Baptist Church and was the son of the late Lonnie Elias and Lela Frances Dale Fuson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Elizabeth Bell Fuson; grandson, Eric Dale Schmidling; granddaughter, Ashley Elizabeth DeLay; and brother, Robert L. Fuson.Mr. Fuson is survived by his wife, Roena Barr Fuson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and James Martin of Lebanon and Laura and Stephen DeLay of Antioch; three grandchildren, Mitchell DeLay of Chattanooga, Michael DeLay of Antioch and Conor Martin of Lebanon; cousins, Charles Fuson and Darnell Fuson of McMinnville; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at High’s Chapel with Jim Ramsey to officiate.
