Lois Virginia Burks Bodey, 91, of McMinnville died Monday, Dec. 1, at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville.She was born Dec. 19, 1923, in Birmingham, Ala. She was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Manchester. She worked in a parachute folding factory munitions plant in Birmingham during World War II, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Manchester.Mrs. Bodey was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Eugene Burks Sr. and Mary Lou Jackson Burks; husband Edward Thomas Bodey Jr.; son Donald Edward Bodey; brothers Charles Burks and R.E. Burks Jr., and sister Betty Sue Guard.
