Linda Gale Martin Lusk, 71, of McMinnville died Saturday, Sept. 23 at Saint Thomas MidTown Hospital in Nashville from a sudden illness.
Linda was born Saturday, Nov. 10, 1945 in McMinnville and was the daughter of the late Burcus Martin and the late Allene Shaw Martin.
She served as a cook and teacher’s aide at Southside Headstart and a homemaker. She was a member of the East End Drive Church of Christ.
Linda is survived by her five children, Robert Lusk Jr. of Nashville, Roderick Lusk and wife, Tina of McMinnville, Chandler Lusk of McMinnville, Sylvia Lusk Beasley and husband, Bruce of McMinnville, and Tristan Lusk of McMinnville; two brothers, Freddie Martin and wife, Renee of Chattanooga, Ralph Martin of Chattanooga; three sisters, Margaret McGee and husband, James, Eria Jo Martin of Painesville, Ohio and Chicquta Martin of Nashville; nine grandchildren, Jasmine Lusk, Lorenz Lusk, Roderick Dimitri Lusk, Rhealyn Lusk, Katriel Lusk, Anessa Lusk, Isaak Beasley, Gabe Beasley, Hayden Beasley; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Lusk Sr., two brothers Clifton S. Martin and James M. Martin and sister, Barbara C. Haynes.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home. Interment will be in Martin Charge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 and again Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home.
