Auburntown resident and Warren County native Linda Carol Mathews, 76, was born Dec. 6, 1946 and died May 24, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness.

A housewife and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Charles Rayford and Edna Gustov Wilson Farless, Jr. She was married to Larry G. Mathews who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by son, Charles Raymond Baldwin, Jr.

Mrs. Mathews is survived by children, Tina Roberts of Lebanon, Donna (Todd) Dean of Bella Vista, Ark. and Mark Medley of Auburntown; grandchildren, Ashley Sewell, Clay (Madison) Dean, Lindsey (Andrew) Morgan and Raeleigh (Hunter) VanScyoc; great-grandchildren, Nora Dean, Scarlett Dean and Ivey Morgan and brother, Chuck Farless.

Graveside service and interment will be held at noon Saturday, May 27 at Shellsford Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at High Funeral Home.
