Lewis Gene Copley, 86

Rock Island resident and Blanchard, Okla., native Lewis Gene Copley, 86, was born Sept. 29, 1927 and died May 23 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness. A retired meat cutter with Copper Cellar Corporation, a United States Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Christian Worship Center in Whitwell, he was the son of the late Clyde and Mary Gladys Carpenter Copley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Mary Duncan; and two brothers, Raymond Copley and Sonny Copley.
