Rock Island resident and Warren County native Leona Williams, 94, was born July 30, 1917 and died Oct. 14 at River Park Hospital following a short illness. A homemaker and a member of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Lilly Perry Coppinger. She was married to first husband, Marshall Smartt, who preceded her in death in 1949, and second husband, Carl Williams, who preceded her in death in 1966.
