Mrs. Leona Frances “Granny” Billings, 93, of McMinnville died Sunday, Aug. 26, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born May 31, 1925, was a homemaker, and a member of Bratchers Crossroad Free Methodist Church. Mrs. Billings was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Frank Lee and Eula Elizabeth Bond Watson, husband of 58 years Cecil Earnest Billings, 11 brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her son Levin (Rachel) Billings, brother Rev. Johnny (Barbara) Watson, grandchildren Gena Barry and Keith (April) Billings, great grandchildren Austin Barry and Ethan Billings, a brother-in-law, and 5 sisters-in-law. Nieces, nephews, a host of friends and loved ones also survive.

Funeral service is 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Bobby Wheeler will officiate. Interment will follow at Centertown Cemetery. The Billings family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Avalon Hospice.
