Leon B. Gillentine, 93, of McMinnville died Monday, Jan. 15, at Raintree Manor Nursing Center. He was born July 20, 1924, in McMinnville, was a longtime resident of Niles, Mich., where he began work at the Studebaker Corporation, eventually retiring as a plumber and heating and air conditioning contractor, was a licensed pilot, an avid traveler, and was a member of the Church of Christ at East End. Mr. Gillentine was preceded in death by his parents William Tee and Vera Brewer Gillentine, wife Jessie Ruth Martin Gillentine, sister, Maxine Antis, and brothers, Ray, Jess, J.B., and W.T. Gillentine, Jr. Survivors include sisters-in-law, Lorena Hillis, Martha Martin, and Juanita King and brothers-in-law, Sam (Gerry) Martin and Harold (Claudia) Martin.
