Leo Potter died October 1 at his residence following an extended illness.
Leo Potter, 79, a Rock Island resident and Warren County native, was born Nov. 24, 1937 and died Oct. 1 at his residence following an extended illness. He was a veteran of the United States Army, retired supervisor with Burroughs-Ross-Colville, member of the Church of Christ at Earlyville and son of the late Arlis Clifton and Bertie Lucile Bales Potter. Mr. Potter is survived by wife, Geraldine Potter of Rock Island; children and spouses, Ricky and Tammy Potter of McMinnville and Kimberly Denise and Terry L. Boyd of Rock Island; grandson Codie Phifer of Rock Island; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Karen Potter of McMinnville; stepsister, Pat Hutchins and husband Jessie of Rock Island; several nieces and nephews; special cousin, Clifford Starkey and wife Khyva of McMinnville; and special friend, Don Crouch and wife Jane.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4 in High’s Chapel with Bill Walkup to officiate.
