Lennie Rhea Mayfield, 89, of McMinnville died Friday, Sept. 23 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. She was born June 8, 1922, in Marion County and was a retired seamstress with McMinnville Garment Company, and a member of First Assembly of God Church. Miss Mayfield was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Carrie Marshall Mayfield, and her brothers Clarence, Bill, Edwin, and Carl Mayfield.Survivors include her sister Bonnie Johnson of Lexington; 12 nieces and nephews including Carol Toner, Carletta Wells, Barbara Clark, Dennis Mayfield, Gordon Mayfield, Sandra Lee, Joann Gulick, Roberta Parmley, John Johnson, Helen Smith, Donna Smith, and Diane Nash.Funeral service is 1 p.m. Monday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
