Laurine M. Jackson, 87, Paris native and resident of Raintree Manor and Bluff Springs Manor in McMinnville for several months, died Feb. 15 at River Park Hospital.
Mrs. Jackson worked for Rogers Jewelers in downtown Paris for 20 plus years. She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1957 and enjoyed her Sunday school class and study of the Bible. Her many hobbies included reading, sewing, genealogy, and cooking. She graduated from Grove High School in 1944 as salutatorian of her class.
She was the daughter of the late Ray and Minnie Hicks Maxwell and was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis L. Jackson on June 13, 2012.
She is survived by daughters, Lydia (Donnie) Linville of Paris and Kay (Avery) Myers of McMinnville.
Services were held Tuesday at McEvoy Funeral Home in Paris with Trent Bullock and Phillip Maxwell officiating. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris.
