Kathryn Lynn Hopkins, 66, a Kingston Springs, TN resident and McMinnville native was born May 8, 1952 and passed away March 10 at Alive Hospice of Nashville following an extended illness.

She was a registered nurse, member of Nashville First Seventh Day Adventist Church, and daughter of Gayle VanHooser of McMinnville and the late William Kenneth VanHooser.

Mrs. Hopkins was married Jan. 31, 2005 to William Hopkins, who survives. In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by daughters and son-in-law Sarah Peyton of Kingston Springs and Zuzanna and Mario Calvo of Greenbrier, grandchildren Peyton Harris and Joshua Harris Jr., sisters and brothers-in-law Julia and Alan George of McMinnville and Nancy and Craig Doman of Murfreesboro, brother and sister-in-law Ranse W. and Kay VanHooser of McMinnville; nieces, nephews and spouses, Matthew and Jessica George and Maria and Josh Miller, all of McMinnville, Jacquiline and Thomas Taylor of Bradyville, and Staci and Branton Hopkins of McMinnville.

Mrs. Hopkins enjoyed gardening, reading and studying her Bible, and most of all, spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at Nashville First Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2800 Blair Blvd., Nashville, TN 37212.
