Kathryn “Kathy” Webb Boyd, 84, a Warren County native, was born May 18, 1934, and passed away Sept. 1 at her home surrounded by family.
Kathy is survived by daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Hale of Valdosta, Ga., and son Tommy Boyd of McMinnville; grandsons Chad (Della) Hale of Conway, AR, and Chris (Becky) Hale of Jacksonville, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren; brothers Billy Ray (Lucille) Webb and Marlin (Frankie) Webb, both of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews; and devoted friend, Lorie Betschart. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Ramsey Boyd; parents Shelley and Andrew Jackson Webb; sisters Dorothy Webb Pitts, Lois Webb Cantrell, Lila Webb Cantrell, Frances Webb Walker, and beloved brother, Carlton Webb.
Kathy graduated from Central High School in McMinnville, in 1952, and began her career at Crouch Drug Store. She also worked at Warren County Chamber of Commerce and the Southern Standard newspaper. Kathy and Ramsey were married Oct. 19, 1955 and started Ramsey Boyd Realty and Auction in 1973. After Ramsey’s untimely death in 1988, Kathy continued the company until her retirement in 2018 for a total of 45 years. She was a loving mother, member of Central Church of Christ, and a founding member of the Warren County Board of Realtors.
Funeral service was Monday, Sept. 3, at Central Church of Christ with Ben Bailey officiating. Interment followed at Gardens of Memory.
