McMinnville resident and Overton County native Juanita Angie Gore Phillips, age 88, was born May 22, 1923 and died Oct. 7 at Riverview Terrace after a brief illness.A retired bank teller at Security Federal Savings and Loan, a member of First Baptist Church and a member of the Ben Lomand Garden Club, she was the daughter of the late Cubert and Verda M. Ledbetter Gore. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge E. Phillips; brother Olen Wyant Gore; and sister, Consawillo “Connie” Billings.She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Clint Moore of McMinnville, and Jennie and Greg Barnes of Brentwood; four grandchildren, Chase Moore and fianceé Sarah Jane Park of Nashville, Kayann Moore of McMinnville, Brooks Barnes and Carson Barnes of Brentwood.Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in High’s Chapel with John May officiating. Burial will follow at 5 p.m. at Crestlawn Cemetery in Cookeville.
