J.T. Mitchell, 88, of McMinnville died Monday, Oct. 26, at his home in McMinnville.He was born Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1926 in Okolana, Ms., and was the son of the late James Tillman Mitchell and late Eliza Jane Rape Mitchell.He was a master barber for 60 plus years in this area.He is survived by his son, Lesley Mitchell and wife Pamela; grandson, Thomas Lynn Mitchell; brother, George F. Mitchell; niece, Judy and husband John Nussbaum; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Tony Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Smartt. The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 415 North Chancery Street, McMinnville.
