DeleJohn Wayne Talley, 72, of McMinnville died Tuesday, Sept. 11 at River Park Hospital.He was born Sept. 27, 1939 in McMinnville and was a former employee of Carrier, and retired from the maintenance department with Raintree Manor Nursing Center. Mr. Talley served his country with the U.S. Army, was a Baptist, and was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert and Thelma Louise Taylor Talley, brother Jack Reece Talley, and step-grandson Nick Locke.Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Dane Woodruff of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, David and Renea Talley of Rock Island; grandchildren, Brooks and Atlanta Crutchfield, Cynthia, Candace, Vanessa, Sarah, and William Woodruff, and Kylie and Kapri Talley, sisters and brothers-in-law Shirley and J.C. Ware, Brenda and Hal Wanamaker, and Peggy and Tom Verplank; and brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Sepal Talley, all of McMinnville.Funeral service is 1 p.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Steve Breedlove will officiate.
