John Kenneth Jones, 89, of McMinnville (Lucky Community) died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023, at his residence. He was a farmer, enjoyed working on tractors and doing restoration work, and was preceded in death by parents, Isaiah Columbus “I.C.” Jones, Sr. and Anna Lee Byars Jones; wife, Hattie Jones; and a son, Dwight Jones.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Jan Jones (Reed) Wade; grandsons, Lane (Dana) Jones and Jake Jones; daughter-in-law, Tammy Jones; and sister, Doris Ann (Walter) Grandey. Other family members and friends also survive.

Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Tommy Womack will officiate. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. The Jones family will receive friends on Friday from 3 p.m. until 7 pm. and again on Saturday from 11  a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m.
